Privacy Policy

Beyond Green Construction Co.

Privacy Policy

Effective October 6, 2026

The short version

We collect what you send us, a little data about how people use this site, and the project information we keep in your client portal. We use it to answer you and to build your project. We don’t sell it. We never take card or bank account numbers, on this site or in the portal. When you pay an invoice, you pay on Wave’s secure page.

Who we are

Beyond Green Construction Co. is a design-build general contractor in Oakland, California, CSLB license #1037561. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Beyond Green. “You” means anyone who visits beyondgreen.us, contacts us, or uses our client portal.

This policy covers our website and our client portal. It doesn’t cover the sites we link to, like Wave, Calendly or Google. They have their own policies.

Part 1

This website

What we collect

  • What you send us. When you fill out our contact form, we get your name, email, phone number and message. The form arrives in our business email. If you email, call or text us, we get whatever you share.
  • When you book a call. Our scheduling runs on Calendly. When you book, Calendly collects your name, email and any answers you give, and passes them to us.
  • How you use the site. Like most sites, ours collects some data automatically: pages viewed, how you found us, your general location (city level), your device and browser, and your IP address. This comes from Google Analytics and WordPress.com (Jetpack) site statistics.
  • Spam protection. Our form uses Google reCAPTCHA and spam filters. reCAPTCHA looks at things like your browser and how you use the page to tell people from bots. Google’s privacy policy and terms apply to it.

How we use it

  • To answer your questions and talk through your project
  • To schedule calls, site visits and meetings
  • To prepare proposals, contracts and invoices if we work together
  • To see which pages help people, and fix the ones that don’t
  • To keep spam and abuse off the site
  • To meet our legal, tax, licensing and insurance obligations

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for targeted advertising.

Who we share it with

Only the companies that help us run the business, and only what they need to do their part:

  • Google: Analytics, reCAPTCHA, and Google Workspace for our email, files and client portal
  • Our web host and WordPress.com (Jetpack): running the site, statistics and security
  • Calendly: booking calls
  • Wave: invoices and payments
  • Review widgets: showing our Google reviews on the site

We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone’s safety, or as part of a sale or transfer of our business. If you hire us, we share project details with the people working on your project. Part 2 explains who.

Cookies and analytics

Google Analytics sets cookies, small files in your browser, to count visits and see how people move through the site. reCAPTCHA and Calendly may set their own. Third-party services like Google may collect information over time and across websites under their own policies.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on. The site still works. Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. Our site doesn’t change what it does in response to it.

Payments

We don’t process payments on this website, and we never see or store your card or bank account numbers. When you pay an invoice, the link takes you to Wave’s secure, hosted payment page. Wave handles the payment under its own privacy policy. We see that you paid, how much, when, and which method you used.

Links to other sites

Our site links to other sites, like the CSLB license lookup, Google, Yelp and Wave. We don’t control them, and this policy doesn’t cover them.

Part 2

The client portal

Once you hire us, we set you up with a private client portal. It’s custom software we built for our own projects. Accounts are invitation-only. We create them, and nobody can sign up on their own.

What’s in it

Your portal holds the working record of your project:

  • Project items and scope
  • Selections and design questions, and your answers
  • Drawings, documents and photos of your home and the work
  • The schedule
  • Your contract and change orders
  • Invoices, with a link to pay on Wave
  • Documents you’ve signed, and a record of your approvals

We also keep your name, email, phone number and project address.

Who can see it

You, the client

Everything on your project.

Architects or designers you invite

The project and the design questions they need to answer. They never see billing, your contract or signed documents.

Our team

Beyond Green’s owners and project staff, as needed to run your job.

Our crew

Our crew uses a separate Worker Portal to log hours, upload site photos and report site issues. Those photos and notes become part of your project record.

Subcontractors

No portal login. We share only the drawings and details they need for their part of the work.

Nobody outside your project can see your portal.

Where it’s stored and how we protect it

The portal runs on Google’s cloud platform, and portal records are stored in our Google Workspace account. Payment pages are hosted by Wave, not by us. We protect your information with:

  • Invitation-only accounts
  • Role-based access, so each person sees only what their role needs
  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS)
  • Internal access limited to the people working on your project

No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects your information, we’ll notify you as California law requires.

Project photos

We may feature our work on your project in our portfolio and blog, as your contract allows. We never publish your name or street address without your permission.

How long we keep it

Signed contracts and invoices

Kept permanently.

All other project files

Drawings, photos, selections, schedules and messages: kept at least 10 years after your project is complete. California allows certain construction claims up to 10 years after completion, and these records protect both of us.

After your project closes, we may turn off portal access. You can ask for a copy of your documents anytime.

Your choices

You can:

  • Ask what information we have about you, and get a copy
  • Ask us to correct anything that’s wrong
  • Ask us to delete your information. We’ll delete what we can and keep what the law or our records policy requires, like signed contracts and invoices.
  • Opt out of analytics cookies, as described above

We don’t sell or share your personal information, so there’s nothing to opt out of there. Asking about your information will never change how we treat you. Email info@beyondgreen.us with “Privacy request” in the subject line, and we’ll respond within 30 days.

Children

Our site and portal are for adults planning construction projects. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change is significant and you have a portal account, we’ll let you know.
