About The Owner
Alexander Pell grew up in Colorado, and his interest in construction began long before he set foot on a jobsite. With a great grandfather with over 100 patents, building and solving problems is quite literally in his blood. As a child, fixing old CD players, building remote control cars from scratch and even a dog sled, (which he raced) was just the beginning. By 17 years old, he was on the jobsite, starting off building straw bale homes, and it was clear that this was where he belonged. Over the next 2 decades he worked across the industry, and learned from many builders along the way. After becoming a journeyman carpenter, electrician, and plumber, and then managing projects at Berkey based design build (FB Design/Build) for 3 years it was time to start his own company. In 2017, Beyond Green Construction was created, and Alexander has continued in his commitment to excellence and serving clients to the best of his ability.
Our Process
Site Visit
Every great project begins with a vision, and that starts the moment we walk the site together. We take time to understand your goals, your questions, and your budget. This initial meeting gives us insight into your space, your style, and your priorities. Based on that conversation and the existing conditions, we provide a ballpark construction cost either on site or shortly after. This range is meant to help determine whether the anticipated investment aligns with your expectations. If it does, the next step is signing a preconstruction service agreement, which outlines the design and planning services required to begin the next phase.
Design
With a clear vision in place, we translate ideas into drawings, layouts, and selections. Whether it’s cabinetry, lighting, plumbing, tile, or paint, we guide you through a thoughtful process that balances aesthetic goals with practical needs. During this phase, we develop a comprehensive design and materials selection schedule, which is shared virtually. This becomes the foundation of your project. It helps to ensure that every detail is coordinated and considered well in advance of construction. It also provides a schedule as to when your selections are, to keep the project on schedule while keeping you informed.
Permitting
Once the design is complete, we prepare and submit the necessary documents to your local building department. While permits are under review, we continue to move the project forward by confirming availability, coordinating with trade professionals, and finalizing key selections so everything is ready when approval is granted.
Construction
When it’s time to build, we begin with protective measures to safeguard your home and maintain a clean work environment. Dust barriers with zipper enclosures, HEPA filtration units, and floor protection are all part of our standard process. A dedicated team and project manager oversee the daily progress while keeping communication clear and responsive. From demolition to final detailing, your project is executed with the highest level of care and craftsmanship.
Final Inspection
Once construction is complete and the final inspection is passed, we walk through the finished space together to ensure everything meets your expectations. We also review all documentation including warranties, manuals, and care guidelines. A tailored maintenance plan is provided to help protect your investment and keep your new space looking beautiful for years to come.
